Psoriasis
Psoriasis creates red patches of skin covered in white, flaky scales, typically on the elbows, knees, lower back, and scalp. It's a chronic condition that cycles between flare-ups and periods of remission, and it responds well to an individualized treatment plan.
When to come in
Psoriasis plaques are often itchy, and without treatment the itch can become intense. Skin can also sting, burn, or feel tight. A dermatologist can watch for early signs of related conditions and help before things progress.

- Itching that's becoming intense or hard to manage
- Skin that stings, burns, or feels tight
- Flare-ups that keep coming back
