Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Squamous cell carcinoma is a common skin cancer that tends to develop in people with significant sun exposure or a history of tanning bed use. It can appear as a firm red bump, scaly patch, or sore that doesn't heal.
Unlike basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma has a higher likelihood of spreading if not caught early, which makes prompt evaluation of any suspicious or non-healing spot important.
