Precancers & Skin Cancers
Actinic Keratosis
Actinic keratoses are rough, scaly patches caused by cumulative sun or indoor tanning exposure, usually appearing on frequently sun-exposed areas like the face, ears, and hands.
Because a portion of actinic keratoses can progress to squamous cell carcinoma if untreated, evaluation and treatment are recommended rather than watching and waiting.
We treat this at our office: learn more about skin cancers treatment.
